With the National Indigenous Games around the corner, Toorong Marnong held its first Indigenous State Training Games which welcomed all Indigenous units from the nine Victorian Universities to participate in a day-long training event. The day provided some friendly competition across 4 sports: netball, basketball, volleyball, and touch football.

We are extremely grateful to the professional trainers who offered their time to come along and participate in the day, especially the Indigenous Basketball Association and Touch Football Australia who came and offered support and guidance to the students.

Although this year’s games were only a trial, Toorong Marnong is determined to come back next year and offer 2 training sessions. The first being at the beginning of the year and the second 1 month before the Indigenous National Games.
